NT specifics

No card is issued for the NDIS clearance, unlike the NT Ochre Card for working with children (which is NT-only and lasts 2 years).

How it works for NT providers

  1. Identify which roles in your organisation are risk assessed roles under the NDIS rules.
  2. The worker applies through SAFE NT, run by NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services and verifies their identity.
  3. You link the application to your organisation and verify the worker in the NDIS Worker Screening Database.
  4. Record the clearance and its expiry, and diarise a renewal well before the 5 years is up.
