The Central Coast sits between Sydney and Newcastle, with providers often drawing staff and participants from both. A roster covering Gosford, Wyong and coastal suburbs needs to reflect where support happens, when workers are available and whether the proposed sequence of shifts is practical.
Although regional in character, the Central Coast is classed MMM 1 under the Modified Monash Model. That classification does not describe the practical travel involved in your roster. Give scheduling decisions their own check: worker availability, support locations and gaps between appointments all need to be visible before shifts are confirmed.
For example, a provider running two SIL houses in Gosford and Wyong might share a relief worker across both. Recording that worker’s availability in the roster helps managers assess a replacement shift alongside their existing commitments.
Our SCHADS payroll, HR and rostering service builds rosters around participant needs and worker availability. Keeping the current roster as the starting point also reduces the need to rebuild each week from scratch.
