Launceston is northern Tasmania’s main city, with providers supporting participants across the Tamar Valley and the north-east and north-west. It is classed MMM 2, a regional centre, under the Modified Monash Model. For rostering, the practical concern is where each shift happens and whether a worker’s availability fits the whole schedule.
We build rosters around participant needs and worker availability. Where work involves travel between communities, the roster needs to make that movement visible. A gap between shifts should prompt a check of the locations and timing before another shift is added. Reusing a roster also means reviewing what has changed, rather than carrying forward arrangements that no longer fit.
For example, a provider covering shifts in Launceston and the Tamar Valley could review worker availability and travel between those shifts together before publishing the roster.
Our SCHADS payroll, HR and rostering service connects roster preparation with timesheet checks, payroll administration and current HR records, so changes can be followed through.
